This indicator shows the age-adjusted incidence rate for bladder cancer in cases per 100,000 population. |
| Why this is important: Bladder cancer forms in tissues of the bladder (the organ that stores urine). Most bladder cancer is three to four times more common in men than women. In the United States in 2009, it is estimated that there were 70,980 new cases and 14,330 deaths from bladder cancer. |
| Technical Note: The distribution is based on data from 2,025 U.S. counties and county equivalents. |
